Find the right pressure washer for your cleaning problem
Do you have a cleaning problem or question? Or is your cleaning system due for replacement? We can help you put together a tailor-made cleaning system. You provide us with information and explain your current situation. And we will come up with the cleaning technique to solve your problem or that answers your question. In dealing with your problem/question, the following questions will be asked:
- What is the contamination?
- What result is expected?
- Which method should be used?
- What tools should be used?
Tailor-made cleaning system
When devising the right cleaning systems, we not only look at the desired cleaning technique (cleaning equipment), but also the necessary accessories and maintenance options. Here again, we will take account of the field in which you are operating and the employees that have to work with the solution. Our system will be supplied to match your needs and, on request, can be installed by our own fitters.
Appropriate cleaning
The high level of professionalism that is now evident in the cleaning industry has ensured that the quality of the cleaning has to meet ever higher requirements. Of course, in this development, the quality, reliability and service of the cleaning system are taken as read. To apply appropriate cleaning, certain factors have to be weighed up against each other beforehand.
General rule
For serious contamination (= large quantities), relatively speaking, there is a need for 'a lot' of water to carry away the dirt, while the operating pressure is less important. For stubborn contamination (= smaller quantities), there is a need for 'a lot' of pressure, whereas in this case, the water flow rate is less important. In many cases, one can assume that for high-pressure cleaning, the water flow rate in litres per minute should be about 10% of the operating pressure.
Cleaning power
The cleaning power (mechanical work) of a pressure washer is made up of the operating pressure and the water flow rate. Together with the pump efficiency, they determine the required input power. The cleaning power corresponds to the recoil and, according to S.I.R. guidelines, cannot be above 25 kg for hand-operated HP guns. If used in confined spaces, only 15 kg is allowed.
Work with a fingertip high-pressure trigger gun
It is also important that the cleaning system should have a fingertip high-pressure trigger gun. It takes considerably less strength to operate a fingertip trigger gun than a standard high-pressure gun. This puts less strain on the hand and the forearm. That is particularly important if working with the cleaning system for successive long periods.
Choose the right spray lance
Working with a straight spray lance takes less effort than working with a curved spray lance. So using a straight spray lance is preferable. Sometimes, a particular working situation makes it more convenient to use a curved spray lance, for example when it is necessary to clean in tight corners.
Choose the right spray nozzle
Choosing the right spray nozzle is not only important for the cleaning effect, but is also important for the level of noise and vibration. When using a rotating nozzle (dirt blaster), the healthy limits on vibration are soon exceeded. Furthermore, there is a greater chance of damaging the object being cleaned. Using a dirt blaster also means a bit more noise than using a round or flat blasting nozzle. So only use a dirt blaster if it is really necessary. A pressure washer of slightly higher capacity is often needed to achieve the same effect.
Choose the right pressure washer
The correct choice of operating pressure and water flow rate can be decisive for achieving the desired final result. Waterkracht would be glad to help you make your choice. Please
